The Adiana HSG Confirmation Test
The Adiana HSG is performed at 3 months post-procedure to enable physicians to decisively confirm tubal occlusion. During the 3 months following completion of the bilateral matrix placement, patients will need to use another form of birth control.
If complete bilateral occlusion cannot be confirmed at 3 months, the patient must continue to use temporary contraception for an additional 3 months, until the HSG can be repeated.
If tubal occlusion is not established at 6 months post-procedure, the patient must be advised not to rely on Adiana Permanent Contraception to prevent pregnancy.
